Mr. Krull retired in 2000 as a partner in the Executive Office of Grant Thornton LLP. He was a member of the Professional Standards Group, where he worked with the implementation of the Firm’s automated audit and control software, and was the National Director of Strategic Learning from 1982 to 2000. He continues his involvement with business and accounting education through his participation in the American Institute of CPAs, American Accounting Association, AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Federation of Schools of Accountancy (FSA).
Professional Experience
Mr. Krull has been active in professional and business organizations. He has served on AICPA committees and task forces, including Computers and Information Systems, Continuing Professional Education, EDMAX, Professor/Practitioner Case Development Program and Pre-certification Executive Education (PcEEC). George now chairs the PcEEC. He was the first non-academic to serve as the Program Chair for the FSA’s annual meeting. George was a six-year member of the AACSB’s Accounting Accreditation Committee, and he continues to do peer reviews of business and accounting education programs. He chaired the Board of Accounting Advisors for Western Illinois University and led their strategic planning and preparation for business and accounting accreditation. He is involved in recruiting high school students to study business and accounting at colleges and universities. He is a frequent speaker and has authored several articles. His most recent co-authored article, Assessing the Shortage of Accounting Faculty, appeared in Issues in Accounting Education, May, 2006.

Mr. Krull graduated with undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees from The Ohio State University, Oklahoma State University and Michigan State University, respectively.
Personal
Mr. Krull and his wife, Nancy, reside in Wheaton, Illinois. They have three children and nine grandchildren. They spend most of their time visiting their parents, their children and grandchildren.
